Homeschooling Disney can be as simple as reading some books before your vacation or it can be a major part of your studies all year long.
If you’re planning a trip to a Disney park, consider yourself going on the world’s best field trip. Any amount of pre-trip studying you do will add to your family’s enjoyment of your vacation.
When your kids see things in the parks and say things like:
There’s a printing press, Gutenberg invented that!
I recognize that building, it’s a stave church!
We read Alice in Wonderland, that’s the Cheshire Cat!
That’s an okapi, their tongues are long enough to lick their own ears!
Those ghosts are optical illusions, I know how they do that!
They will be making connections that all educators live to see happen.
Don’t have a trip in the works? You can still add a dose of Disney to your homeschool studies by doing some topical or unit studies all year long.
What better way to get your kids excited about learning?!
